REP Provisions is an incredible company that has a network of regnerative farms in the USA. They are deeply commited to restoring the land and have very high standards for their products. Not only does REP Provisions provide some of the best quality meats on the market, but they are making a huge effort to educate people about the importance of regenerative farming and treating food as medicine.
They ship their pasture-raised meats right to your doorstep and even offer an easy way to recycle the packaging. Here's my review of REP Provisions—including recommended products, taste of the meat, and what to expect when ordering.
REP Provisions Meat Delivery Review
A few months ago, I tried REP Provisions meats for the first time, and have been very impressed with their meats, packaging, and customer service.
When my order arrived, the meat was very well protected and frozen solid. There was an insert with information and tips for handling the meat, as well as a thank you card from their team. You could tell they made an effort to add a personal touch, which makes a difference.
They have an option for you to ship the packaging back to them to be reused and recycled. The shipped label is pre-printed and all you have to do is schedule a free USPS pickup. I have never seen this before in a meat delivery company and was really excited about it. I really appreciated how easy they make it for you to recycle.
The first product we tried was their 80/20 grass-fed ground beef. We made burger patties with them on our Blackstone grill and added some raw cheese and grilled onions. They were delicious—so flavorful and filling. Personally, I feel noticably better after eating grass-fed beef versus conventional.
We've also tried their sausages, pork chops, chicken drumsticks, and some of their seed oil free sauces. Everything has tasted great so far.

REP Provisions goes above and beyond to ensure they're providing the highest quality, most nutrient dense foods. They have an informative article on their webiste sharing the difference between regenerative and organic meats, and how much farming practices impact our health and the environment.
Their livestock is raised how nature intended—out on pasture, getting sunlight, and fed ancestrally appropriate diets. Because of this, the animals are truly healthy (resulting in healthier meats).
Even just looking at the deep red color of their beef is a testiment to how healthy their cows are! The picture below shows a comparison between REP beef and conventional beef.
REP Provisions had their beef tested by Michigan State University to compare with USDA grass-fed beef and USDA conventional beef. The results showed that their beef had an almost perfect 1:1 omega 6 to omega 3 fat ratio, which is important for optimal health.

Important Note: REP Provisions has a line of sauces that are made with clean ingredients. They are 100% seed oil free, refined sugar free, gluten free, and soy free. I've personally tried a few flavors so far and love the taste!
What should I expect when ordering from REP Provisions? How does the meat come packaged?
Once your order is shipped, it should take about 2-3 days for it to arrive. You will receive tracking information and can contact customer support if you have any questions.
When your box arrives, make sure to unpack it as soon as you can and put your meats straight into the freezer. The meat will be in a cooler with dry ice or ice packs to keep it fresh and cold. Their boxes are very sturdy and everything is packaged with care!

Does the meat being frozen affect the taste?
In my opinion, not at all. I typically thaw the meat in a bowl of water or in the fridge before cooking. It always tastes fresh and I like that the meat keeps for a long time in the freezer!
Do you have any tips for cooking REP Provisions meats?
Keep in mind that grass-finished beef is in general, leaner than conventional beef. This can make the cooking experience a bit different. My best advice is to not overcook cuts like steak, ground meat, etc. I prefer a medium-rare.

Are there any "cons" to ordering from REP Provisions?
The only potential downside is that the cost of their meats is higher than conventional meats, and it may not be something everyone can afford. This is to be expected, as raising meats regeneratively is much more expensive.
For the quality, REP Provisions products are a very reasonable price. Personally I consider buying pasture-raised meats an investment in my health, and it has been well worth it! It's also important to vote with our dollar where we can. We hope that in time as the demand for better quality food increases, the prices for them will start to decrease.
